Overview

Back to school is about fresh starts — and fresh style. DSW wanted to remind students and parents that they could find the right shoes for the season. We created video content and still photography to power their back to school campaign across digital and print.

Challenge

Every footwear brand fights for attention during back to school. The challenge was: how do we show that DSW has the styles students want for campus, and make the brand stand out in a crowded season?

Strategy

We produced a set of videos and photo assets that put the shoes front and center. Each piece captured the energy of going back to campus — walking the halls, heading to class, or meeting up with friends — with DSW style leading the way.

The content was designed to flex across channels:

Video spots for digital and social.

Still photography for web, print, and in-store.

A unified look and feel that tied the campaign together.

Results

Increased visibility: Students and parents saw DSW as the go-to for back to school footwear.
